Almost 3 weeks into the new year and I feel like I’ve been bitch-slapped, sucker-punched and left to die….work-wise, anyway. But if you know me well, you’d know that I always end up kicking my way to beating deadlines and whipping out the impossible. So, if I haven’t blogged that much since the start of the year, that would be because I was busy revising the web content for our company website, writing that final draft for a social media optimization proposal for a client, going through the usual internal paperwork ensuring everything is right to the last letter before its circulated and basically just working my ass off.
But what’s life if its all work and no play? Given my track record of managing to squeeze in personal activities in between work and pulling-my-hair because of work, below are some of the things I’ve been up to that doesn’t spell work and stress. Oh look, another what-have-i-been-up-to blogpost!
1. Our first organized run for 2012! Ran another 10k for the benefit of a cancer-stricken patient…nothing feels better than doing an activity that you like to do, while at the same time being able to help someone.

Before the gunstart at 5:30am

the BF trolling before the run starts

After the run: with the usual running suspects

with Erwie in our matching RF caps yey!
2. PS3 gaming.Getting a PS3 for the boys was one of my stuff-to-buy-for-2012. Sometime before the New Year, after i got the iPhone4s, the BF and I decided to sell my 3rd generation iPod Touch and my Blackberry Curve, plus shelled out some cash to get a 160GB PS3 yey!

God of War 3 FTW!
3. Temple Run. Yes, I’m referring to that endless iOS app where you have to run, jump, slide and collect as much points as you can. Playing it gives me mini-heart attacks all the time. I play it more on the iPad because I’m scared I might end up throwing my iPhone to the wall everytime i lose a turn, hrhrhr. Its a pretty brainless game, and i find myself getting sucked into it for hours, as it taunts me and challenges me everytime i play it!

my latest score!
3. The Hunger Games Trilogy. I did get my new books for the A Song of Ice and Fire Saga but…I juts feel like i NEED to re-read The Hunger Games books after the trailer for its movie version was released sometime ago. I mean, its just awesome that the filmmakers put together the perfect cast! They’re just like what I’ve imagined them to look like and I can’t wait for the 1st movie to come out in March (currently dying of excitement).

Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne
So there you have it. Yes, it can be pretty mundane stuff for some people but hey, I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do to keep me sane, right?
